Two podiums at Misano
Just a quick update from a very very wet Misano where I qualified the Jenzer Motorsport F4 second in group 2 and third overall behind teammate Marcos Siebert and Prema’s Mick Schumacher for the opening round of the Italian championship. Fantastic way to start the season!
What an amazing feeling! I just finished my first ever race with Jenzer Motorsport and I took second place! That sounds straightforward after starting from second on the grid but I managed to make things difficult for myself by spinning in the warm-up lap on the wet track and dropping back to 13th. Luckily the Jenzer Motorsport car was undamaged and I could fight my way back all the way to second, setting the fastest lap in the process. A big thank you to my family and the Jenzer team but this is just the start and I must keep fighting and working hard tomorrow to get some more results. But what a start to the season!
So, after the succes and the speed showed in the wet yesterday we got to race the second race here at Misano on a dry track. A good start made sure I could get away with my Jenzer team mate who led the race. We tried to create a gap but a bit of oversteer hampered my times and I couldn’t keep Raul Guzman behind me. Still a third position is a great result! Need to learn the lessons and fight again in the final race late this afternoon. Major thanks to my family and the Jenzer Motorsport team for all the support!
My third and final race of the weekend yielded a sixth position after major battles throughout the field. My start was great, my restart could have been better but although I am not completely pleased with sixth I cannot be unhappy with my pace in the dry in the Jenzer Motorsport Tatuus F4. Especially the fight with Mick Schumacher showed what a cool class and championship this is. Congratulations to my team mate Marcos Siebertwho won the race so one thing is for sure, we showed what our black and blue machines can do! Now we leave Misano with a lot of points in the bag, my first two podiums in F4 and the knowledge that we did very well and that we have to keep working hard to be successful in the ADAC F4 championship. Again a huge thank you to my family and the Jenzer Motorsport mechanics, engineers and naturally the whole team which has quickly become my second family.
